In case you didn't recognize me, yes that was me who parked outside the house, and was to lazy to make more than one trip into the house.
Yes, that was me that tried to pile everything into my arms so that I could carry it all into the house in one trip.
That was me who was chasing a can of pop down the hill.
That was me looking both ways before I ran into the street after my unrepentant can of soda.
That was me providing an endless source of entertainment to the neighbors who were watching me.
That was me who took a picture of it for my blog, as if you've never seen a dented can before. Well, I dunno. Maybe you haven't. Please don't judge me for drinking diet caffeine free. I am trying to cut down on my caffeine. Yes, I know water doesn't have any caffeine in it. Your point would be????
That was me who was refilling the Brita water pitcher by pulling the faucet sprayer over to the pitcher while it was on the counter.
That was me who let out an "Ahhhhh!" scream when the lid plopped closed and the water went all over the counter and floor instead. Twice.
That was me who cleaned off the top and then went and grabbed the camera to preserve the moment for posterity.
That was me wondering if I should explain the definition of "posterity:" (future generations).
That was my hubby who very calmly sat and watched me while I screamed, because he thought I was facing down a dangerous spider. I guess he was waiting to see who won. My guess is his money was on the spider.
That was me who ignored this poor guy while I wrote this post. Poor dog, he has beverage problems of his own and really needs to go out. So if you will excuse me, I will rescue him before his hind legs cramp up from crossing them.

Oh Nan...you make me laugh! I'm picturing you running after a rolling can of soda!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a funny post and like Alicia I can just imagine the scene!
ReplyDeleteLove Collette x
I never use my spray hose on the sink because I always end up getting squirted. Why is that? Just haven't mastered it yet. My kids have even sprayed me on accident. I think I am just on it's hit list. LOL
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny.
Nan,
ReplyDeleteHow funny are you in this "that was me" post? You know you can reverse it and turn it into a "Not Me Monday" post. Not that I ever do that. Well... I did it once.
Blessings!
The picture of your puppy put me over the edge! So funny!
ReplyDeleteanyone who suggests water as a caffeine free beverage does not understand the incredibly draw of the diet caffeine free cola....water just doesn't cut it!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! :D U r 2 funny! :D Life is so much fun!!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, loved picturing you chasing that soda can. I hope a bunch of neighbors really did have the privilege of seeing you run after it. What a funny thought.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, Tuesday Mama!

ReplyDeleteI certainly got my laugh today! At least your pop did not freeze/burst in the fridge and you did not have the pleasure of cleaning it :)

Too bad I missed the can rolling exhibition. Love your pink and white tiles.
ReplyDeleteOn April Fools day, I put a rubber band around the hose sprayer so when someone else turns the faucet on, it sprays all over them!! Kinda funny!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat crazy comment was from me!!! Sorry about that...my hubs signs in and then I forget!!!!
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought about telling you to drink water...but...have you thought of drinking? :o) I would have loved to watch you chase your soda though. You are too cute!!

Oh My Goodness!!
ReplyDeleteI once tried to carry all my groceries in in one trip too...I dropped a whole box of cokes....it wan't a pretty picture!!
I can see you chasing that can!
ReplyDeleteOh, the dented can...at least you didn't open it...yes, I know what happens when you drop a can of soda and open it...but that still hasn't stopped me from thinking "maybe it will be ok, this time!" And I always end up spraying the counters when I use the sink sprayer...I guess I like the extra work cleaning up! LOL!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! Oh, I can sympathize, girl! I, too, try to carry everything into the house in one trip. You should see me juggling 8 plastic bags of groceries and a jug of milk.
ReplyDeleteWe have a Brita pitcher. Those lids are hateful, aren't they?! LOL
Glad you survived the day...you are so funny! Now, come over to my blog and help me with my dilemma! :-)

Nan, you're so silly! I would have chased that can too! Your little doggy is so cute. The funny thing about blogging is that it makes you wanna take a picture of anything and EVERYTHING (like runaway cans). LOL!!
ReplyDeleteLove ya,
Miti
Funny! Every day things can be so funny when you write about them, Nan
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giggles.
Too funny!
ReplyDeleteNan~ You are so silly! I never chase runaway water bottles either! Nope, I usually make the boys do that! Thanks for the giggle! ~Stacey
ReplyDeleteI knew this was your post before I even got to the bottom to see your siggy. ;) LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn´t me who left the coffee pot filling up with filter water on the side of the counter while trying to get other things done.
It wasn´t me who was mopping up the floor afterward!!!
I can´t tell you how many times I do this. I just don´t have the patience to wait there while the thing fills up!! Then well, I have twice the work. Maybe someday I will learn.
The poor dog and his beverage problem!! hilarious!! LOL
Geocaching is a lot like letterboxing, only you use a GPS to find the cache - then sign the log book and (sometimes) there may be a little treasure or token to take along.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes I could live on Diet coke (caffeine free or otherwise) if my husband would let me.
I love this post!!!! Too funny!
