Tuesday Already??????

Wow. Tuesday again already? Where is the time going???? Can you tell I'm stalling?

I hope that if I type long enough a brilliant thought will occur to me. Maybe I'll be able to come up with an entertaining post today. Wait for it....wait for it.....

(Cue sound of birds chirping)

Nope. Zilch. Nada. Not happening. Sorry.

Well, I could tell you that I am raising a juvenile delinquent. Oh yeah. Most definitely. Would you like to see a picture?

Now, does this look like somebody with a guilt complex or what?

Don't let that "Who, me?" expression fool you. She is very sneaky. That dog can hear a chip drop from a mile away and be there before it hits the floor.

She can hear you open the freezer, take out the ice cream, and dish yourself a bowl of it, even though she appears to be asleep. (Not that I ever do anything like that, of course.) She will then attempt to alert the media, your family, your pastor, and your third grade teacher. Tattletale.

How does she keep her girlish figure? Do you ever really think about the fact that you never see a dog on a self-imposed diet? You never see one on a treadmill, reading a diet cookbook, or doing the Shred either. They are never at the gym, or in the diet section at the supermarket. They also don't deny themselves food or say "No thanks, I'm on a diet." You ever notice that? What is their secret??????

You know how women never seem to go to the bathroom alone? Well, apparently my dog has the same need. She not only tries to follow me into the bathroom, she also expects me to go out with her as well. I guess it's a girl thing. A show of support. "We're all in this together....."

I think it's just that you never know when you might run out of toilet paper.

  1. I think it is funny how dogs know certain words concerning food too. And they always think that when they are said that food is associated with them. When my dogs here "wanna bite?" "ready for dinner?" "get up in your high chair." or "let's eat." They come running. And we are never talking to them. why is it they always think the food is always for them? And the bathroom thing is think is a girl thing. Because my girl dog always wants company and my boy dog could care less. LOL

  3. We measure our dogs food...they would tell you they are on a mommie imposed diet or a doggie dr. diet to keep them healthy.
They all want to go to the bathroom with me and definitely want me to go out with them, however, Nanuq goes and hides behind a tree to poop. It is the funny is thing to have a dog who needs privacy to poop.

  4. Awwwww, she looks so shy and sheepish!

    What a cutie pie!

And the reason dogs don't diet??? All the mirrors are too high for them to ever see themselves. =0)

  5. Im learning first hand over the last couple of days that that adorable-ness (not a word) can wear off quickly when you have a puppy eating everything in sight...including the bitter apple spray. He was soo ginger at first...but then, then he became a puppy!!! ;)

And yeah, I have a bone to pick with them about their figures...I also can't believe that they eat the SAME thing every day for their entire life...that is DEDICATION baby!!! ;)

  6. You puppy is too cute. It is funny how they can sense food. I love how they can take a CAT nap & be recharged to run the yard for 30 minutes and then crash again just any ole place. Oh the life of a doggie must be so great:)

  7. Awwwww, Nan, what a cutie!! I started wondering about their secret to keeping trim and I decided to go have a chat with my dog, Petey. Apparently, he says that the secret is pretty simple. First you must drink lots and lots of water (preferably out of the drain, if at all possible, don't know what that has to do with it, but that's what he said). Secondly you must chase anything and everything that comes into your territory. And the most important thing you must remember in order to keep your figure is to do lots of squats and leg lifts when going to the restroom. He said to just remember those three little things and you'll be looking dog gone good. Let me know how it goes.

  10. Okay...Mimi's comment cracked me up! Squats and leg lifts...hilarious. You Five Moms are so clever and witty!

We have a female dog. She's not spoiled AT ALL...yeah, right! She won't go outside to use the bathroom if the grass is too long. You should see my hubby mow (in all kinds of weather), trying to keep the grass short enough to meet the dog's standards!

  11. Sorry...I meant Miti's comment cracked me up. Not that Mimi DOESN'T crack me up when she comments. But it was Miti who talked about squats and leg lifts. Um...okay. I'm going to stop now! ;-)

  12. I love this post. I guess it went somewhere after all. I think because our pets do have a limited diet of certain foods they can eat, it helps keep them trim. However, if they had access to all our food types, I don't think that would be the case.

  13. My dog has a thing for french fries and chips. I truly worry about her blood pressure for she likes the salty foods the best.

  15. Anonymous (Christy): I love what you said because it's so true. My dogs will come running if they hear a certain word, even if I'm not talking to them, lol!

Also, my poodle will run if she hears the word "kennel."

  16. I said it once I´ll say it again, that poor thing. It has a complex now.

You are hilarious to post about her. I tell my husband that all dogs have quirks. You cán´t get a perfect dog. EVER!! He "dogs" on my dog all the time.
