  3. Oh...I don't even want to go back in the day! I wanted my hair to be a foot high on top and out to the sides with lots of hair spray...but I could never get it just right! haha!

I think maybe I had a crush on Kirk Cameron!

I hope my kids never want to grow up! ;)

  4. What a fun post! I had a perm in middle school...and it was SO not flattering! I don't know how you survive without peanut butter, but I guess you do what you have to do {allergies are no fun, we dealt with them for a while until my oldest outgrew them!}. My hubby and I have started watching 24 on DVD and now we are addicted..it is so good!

  8. Despite the bad perm, you were a very pretty girl. Still are.

Back in the day I wanted to be a cheerleader, now I just want to get through my 20 minutes of Shred and live to tell about it.

Back in the day I wanted a perm too, got one and ended up looking like a Chia Pet. Today I want the straight hair I did have, but was replaced by curls after I had my 2nd child.

Oh my gosh..I loved watching 24 when we had regular TV!! It would come on late at night on some off the wall channel. Anyway....I actually bought season 1, and only saw some shows of other seasons!! If there is anything about TV that I miss, it would be THAT show!!!!!!!!!

  12. oooh, look at you rockin' the long hair. Cute!!!! I wanted Jan's hair, it was longer than Marsha's and had some curl to it (at least when she was younger).

So are your kids going to grow up wanting a dog, and then their kids grow up wanting a dog, and then their kids.....etc, lol. Some people never have dogs and do just fine without them! The test will be if your kids get one after they grow up.

  14. Back in the day, we used to stay out until the street lights came on. Now, we have to know every detail of where our kids are going and have to meet their families.

Back in the day, we used to ride our bikes, skates and skateboards, without helmets, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist guards and yet there were no major injuries. Now, its required, part of city laws and lawsuits just waiting to happen.

Back in the day, we thought nerds were so uncool cause they made the rest of us look bad. Now, they are the ones making the higher salaries and most of us are working for them.

Just goes to show you what comes around goes around. Ah thanks for the trip back down memory lane, and as for those skates, I am back on them at 45 and loving just how amazing it feels. I still got it!

  16. Back in the day, I wished I could roller skate without busting my bottom.

Back in the day, I wished I could doggie paddle like every other normal person. Shoot even dogs could manage that one!

    Somethings never change.

Love that pic, Mimi! You're still cute as can be.

  18. Mimi,

I always loved Cindy's little pig tails. I can relate to trading the sports car in for the mini van...which became a Cherokee which is currently not one but two Suburbans. Paul Reiser states in no uncertain terms that this is the path to uncool:)

And I still eat peanut butter off the spoon, I just hide it from the kids with peanut allergies.
