And yes, I listen to Disney Radio even when my kids are not in the car and sing loudy! And what is an empty threat! LOL and bribing, whatchya talking about? I have absolute angels, you know that!!! Glad to know that there are at least 8 other moms out there just like me...scary, but glad!!

  3. Such a funny post thank you. I vividly remember my wee boy hosepiping me on the skirt just before I headed out to Church! We got wise to him after that! Excellent post.

  4. Oh, Mimi-you really do crack me up! You've got us ALL pegged. I've done 9 out of 10 of those things 9 out of 10 hours a day! (my kids are usually up from about 8 to 8 so that leaves me 3 hours where I am being supermom!) Isn't it funny how we all go through the same things and all the while we're thinking 'I bet so-and-so would NEVER do this!' when really they are! We're all in this together ladies!! :)

  10. Mimi...you are too funny! I have done almost all of those things at least once {okay maybe ten times} in the past week! Except the minivan thing! I refuse to get a minivan...I am an SUV kind of momma all the way!

  12. At this very moment, our TV is babysitting so that I can catch up on my favorite blogs! There's gotta be 8 others of you doing the same thing, right?! Whew! Now I don't feel so guilty!

  13. Oh yeah. I'm so one of the 9.

Sadly, I got peed on more by my daughter than either of my boys. I guess I was just expecting it more for the boys and was prepared! And I just caught myself humming a Miley Cyrus song!

  14. Have you been spying on me or something?? I have pretty much done all of those, except call my mom since she passed away, but I probably would have! I find myself singing Backyardigans songs all of the tie. I actually really like them!

  16. I remember trying to skip words with my first child. He learned to read very early (age 2)...so after I got caught...I decided he could read to me...it worked well and then when his younger brothers came along...he read to all of us!! We still laugh about it...he is 22 with a baby daughter of his own. He is also a US Marine!
I use to tell him to get the dictionary when he wanted to know what a word meant. Recently, I asked what a word meant and he said, "mom...get the dictionary." I looked at my adult son and told him, "I don't really want to know that bad."
    Okay...now I have confessed.
    Blessings, andrea

  17. yep yep and yep. i think it's nice to know that other moms do the same thing. and i think that 1 mom out of ten is just plain lying. :0)

  18. Mimi, it's good to know there's 8 other moms doing just as I do.

    * The tv makes a great babysitter. It's always readily available. It's cheap. The entertainment is endless and educational too(well it CAN be).

    * Snacks turn into meals here too. Just yesterday, Mason had a pop tart (with a side of green beans) for dinner. His choosing. Hey, at least he had his veggies, right?

*I've been peed on plenty of times

*And no matter how quite I try to be, I can't eat a piece of chocolate in peace

Let me just say that I'm guilty of all the above (except the mini van) So far, just SUVs for me. But I still have a long way to go, so it can still happen.

I love those other 8 moms whoever they are. I'm in good company. :o)

  19. Oh yea, I'm in the same boat! We're paddling right along together, Mimi!

I too choose to give up cleaning in order to blog. Priorities Baby! Priorities!!!!

And I agree with the commentor that said that "one Supermom" is just LYING!

    These were great!

  23. Of course we've been peed on....I just can't believe 9 out of 10 moms haven't also been pooped on and puked on. You know it happens...both of my boys did it to me! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  24. I loved this one! I think I can agree with all of them. lol

I DO use the tv for a babysitter on occasion, I admit. Its the ONLY way I can get in the shower! lol

Of course I have been peed on, I have a boy!

The sneaking a treat thing happens to me all the time! Ethan will barely hear a wrapper and say "I want one too!" lol

  25. This is so great, I LOVE it! I only admit to a couple of things, but know I probably will eventually admit to ALL of them!

    9 out of 10 moms do :)

  27. I think I have done all of those atleast once. I'm particularly bad about skipping words when reading stories. I tend to make up my own stories to go with the pictures...atleast the kids haven't picked up on it yet!

    ReplyDelete
  28. 100% Guilty! I am enjoying this blog!

  29. Oh how funny! These are so true. My kids are 12 & 14 and I still sing kids songs. God bless Mr. Rogers...it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood and good old Barney (yikes).

I skipped pages in books when I babysat. I got caught then so I new better. Having the kids read to us worked pretty good.

I never had a sports car...I had a mini truck and moved on to the mini van.

    Ah life is precious. Enjoy!

  30. Oh my, I bet the boat is getting pretty full...I'll just stay over here with the Supermom! LOL! I always skip words, but now that Alex is reading...not so easy to get away with! ;)
Hey, at least we all get to be Supermom as least one time, right? Great post...so nice to see when others know exactly what I mean!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah I tried skipping pages or paragraphs, but the kids knew the stories to well. Pooped on, pottied on, puked on.....been there, done that!

    This was hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh my goodness girl, I'm one of the 9 out of 10 moms EVERYTIME! You're hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Right there with you...the only thing I haven't done is call my mom...other than that, I've done them all.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ohmygoodness! Did I just totally identify with every one of those??? ouch!

The arguing with a 3-year-old. Yikes.

I have to say that I collapsed in giggles when Mr. Daddy turned to look at me a few weeks ago, and said, "well, HE started it!" :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yep, I'd fall into the 9 category on almost all of these. I'm certainly not the "1"

    ReplyDelete
  36. Slowly putting my hand up. - Guilty as charged. Life imprisonment! LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Ha! My hubby figured out the junk food deal. Once in a while he will bring me a special treat just for me...no one else is alowed to have it and I can have it whenever. On bad PMS days I admit to sitting at the school table eating dark chocolate covered cherries at 9 am in front of the kids, shamelessly. Although, more often than not I do end up sharing.
