It's Monday... and I'm tired!

I'm at 6:00 a.m. usually, and up til midnight most every night.

I'm tired.

Running here, running there.

I'm tired.

Karate and football, birthdays and garage sales, fellowships and church.

I'm tired.

Fun and excitement. Work and play.

I'm tired.

Adventures and commitments.

I'm tired.

A mom's work is just never done.

I'm tired.

And some day, I'm going to miss every last little hectic minute of it all!

So for now, I'll PRAISE GOD for my youth (or what's left of it), my strength, my health, my kids, and the joy it all brings me! And I'll just accept that for now, at this stage in my life, I'm gonna be tired!

Besides, sleep's overrated anyway.
These bags under my eyes are like new fashion accessories!

  2. I am not sure you will miss it when the kids are grown. All but one of my kids are grown now and I do not miss the craziness. It is a new season and we are quite enjoying being parents of young adults, a teenager, and a grandbaby. Of course, we are still tired....life has not slowed any. I am thinking that maybe it does not slow down this side of heaven! Some days I am ready to dance a jig in my new body!
Blessings from another tired, old, mom!

  6. Yes...tired and mom go in the same sentence!! Somehow we go on the energy that our kids radiate out from their youth.

  7. Besides my purse, those are the only extra bags I have! I wish on some many occasions to trade them in or garage sale them.

Been up since 3am and still holding strong on my 3rd cup of coffee.

  8. Lol...I think we can all relate!! And I really DON'T think sleep is overrated...Emmie just started sleeping through the night(at 15 months!) and I'm enjoying it thoroughly!! I'm still tired though, all the time.

  14. You're probably like me, you feel as if you ever slow down, you won't be able to get back up again.

  15. I know how you feel Erica, but look at me. I'm about 15 years or so older than you and still trying to raise teenagers. I think I'm beyond tired. I'm pretty much comatose! lol
