She looked and sure enough, they were. It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than it was putting them on. She managed to keep her cool as together they worked to get the boots back on - this time on the right feet.
He then announced, "These aren't my boots."
She bit her tongue and, once again she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots off his little feet.
No sooner they got the boots off and he said, "They're my brother's boots. My Mom made me wear 'em."
Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry. But, she mustered up the grace and courage she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.
Helping him into his coat, she asked, "Now, where are your mittens?" He said, "I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots."
Oh I have so been there...this week in fact...
Have a blessed weekend my friends. I hope this brightened your Friday!

OH that's funny!
ReplyDeletethat is too funny... and I've had many days like that
ReplyDeleteThat's cute. Poor little guy. I've had days like that too. Except, my days have more to do with potty training. Just when you think, Ok good he's gone to the potty, now there won't be any accidents. WRONG.... Then it's off with everything. Then it happens again and it's off with everything again. {sigh}
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Hugs to you,
Miti
Too funny...and sounds a lot like something one of my boys would do...you know, if we wore cowboy boots:)
ReplyDeleteCute story!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, funny! I mean I know how hard it is to get tight boots on! NOT FUN!
ReplyDeleteI had a pair of blue Justins that I got a little too small.... and EVERY SINGLE TIME I put them on, it was agony. Didn't wear them too often because of it either. *sigh*
that's cute. I do this all the time when I'm trying on shoes for the girls. I'm trying to stuff their feet in to the shoe and they are telling me it doesn't fit. I'm frustrated at what the heck size they take, and here it is just the paper that is stuffed in the toe of the shoe. :oD
ReplyDeleteThat is just too cute and hilarious!
ReplyDeleteOh my I have done that too!! But with a pair of tennis shoes! LOL
ReplyDeleteAh you gotta love the patience and persistence of his teacher.
ReplyDeleteCute story to put Friday on a happy note!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
That one made me laugh. There are so many times I work up a sweat to get my boys dressed...think winter gear! Ugh!! Then they go outside for 2 minutes and come back in complaining that it's too cold!
