Dearly Beloved Bloggers,

Welcome to day 4 here on Five Moms and a Blog. I've been picking my brain trying to think of something remotely interesting to write about. The pressure was eating a way at me so much that all I could think about was the other Moms giving me the BIG, BLACK, POINTY boot right off the bat. I mean really, how am I gonna top those word verifications? Then, all the sudden it hit me right smack in the face. No, you silly willies, it wasn't the boot; it was the answer staring right back at me. Granted, it's no where as good as Tarah's funny words but it will have to do for now. My question to you is..........

Blogging, of course. So.......

Well, I'm not gonna state the obvious, but what I am gonna say is that this whole blogging thing has turned out to be more than what I expected. Like many of you, I started blogging so that I could write about my life as a stay-at-home mom. And, that's mostly what Pieces of Me is all about. But, as my posts grew, so did my followers. With no pens in hand, my Penless Pen Pals have become a virtual support group of some sort, always here to hear me out. God Bless Y'all!!

One day while sharing Pieces of Me with some real-life friends, one made a comment, "Only Miti has the time to do this." Well, let me tell ya, it's not like I wake-up, put a plate in front of my little guy and BAM I'm done for the day. There's always a bath to be given, a mouth to be fed (literally), potty training to be trained, and manners to be taught. OH....And don't forget about the tons of housework that mysteriously accumulates. You'd think there was a kindergarten class living with us.

So, what it all boils down to is NO, I don't have the time to blog, but I make the time for it.

Simply because I spend most of my day with a three year old who, at times, doesn't seem to get me and I need to have some sort of contact with those who do (that would be y'all).

O.K. Good! Shew...I was beginning to think I was talking to myself again.
Anywho....just as these 4 Moms have welcomed me with open arms, so has the WWB (wonderful world of blogland). After it's all said and done, blogging is the best and cheapest form of therapy out there. And I NEED therapy!!

So, thanks y'all for hearing me out. I hope you've enjoyed my little rant cause you'll be hearing a lot more of me. I'll be here every single Thursday. You can't get rid of me that easily.

  1. Miti,

I am so glad you make time to blog and that you made extra time to play along on my giveaways. You are too funny and one of the sweetest blogging gals I know.

  2. Oh my goodness, Girl! We would never give YOU the boot?! We'd just mock you and laugh at you for not being as funny as US! Don't you know us that well by now? ha ha ha ((you know I'm just teasing and we ♥ U!))

And I agree 100%! Blogging is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY my therapy!!! Cheap, free, and fun to boot! (pun intended!)

  3. 'lo! nice to meet ya. I'm Aimee @ Reflections of Me. I think your debut post was great. And yeah, who could top those word verifications? Now I'm trying to make things up when I see them. So I can be cool like Tarah. lol. And you are so right! Blogging is so much cheaper than therapy.

  4. Nice to meet you Miti!

  5. Yay Miti!! So excited for your blog debut! I don't think your crazy..okay maybe just a little tiny bit, but I am in the crazy boat with you! I am so glad I stumbled across your blog! <3

  6. I'm with you! I am a very social person and now that I'm not working outside of the home, I still need the interaction. Ha. I feel ya, I do!

  7. Girl I totally agree with you that we all have to MAKE time, sometimes other things naturally fall by the waistside. Im soooo glad that I met you and girl you can ROCK the blog thing totally!!!! ;)

  8. Great words, Miti! & so true. We all need our blog therapy, how would we survive without it??

  9. Having raised 5 kids...still homeschooling one, I was always amazed when people thought I did NOTHING...still gets under my skin. Blogging is definately wonderful therapy. GOD BLESS YOU and keep blogging...andrea

  10. Definitely in agreement about not really having the time to blog with all of my other duties in raising 5 kids. whew! But, I have found that God ministers to me or uses me daily, no every minute, I am in blogland for growing His kingdom and purposes in the hearts of His peoplee, especially mine! I just started this venture in my life a few weeks ago and I love it.

You did great in your debut!

This idea of community blogging is great!

I will be here to grow from all of your wisdom!

  11. Oh, so true! I forgot I had two kids the other day because I was blogging...kidding...right? LOL! I had NO idea I would meet some wonderful, funny, inspiring gals & moms through blogging! how wonderful to know we are not alone in mothering mishaps and sharing our sweet families together! I LOVE IT! So glad to meet you :) You are beautiful!

  12. Oh, I love it- I am right here with you. I have 4 kids and a house full of laundry. I don't have time to blog. It's my hobby. It's my release. And, I love it! I spend Thursdays making a list of what I am thankful for on my Gravity of Motion blog. I am thankful that I have "met" you on this blog.

  13. Great Post! So excited to meet you! I love your explanation! Cuz Yes! I agree ! I don't have time either but now blogging is just apart of my life. I miss you all if I am away for too long!

  14. You are so funny, lol! As IF, girl! You are here to stay so don't even think of trying to get away from us!

I don't have time to blog either......but I do it because you're right it's fun. And look at all the cool people you meet!

  15. I'll have to ditto you, my friend! This is such a nice release/getaway (if you will) from my everyday happenings at home w/ my five kids! It has really turned into my own little hobby!! LOL

  16. I wholeheartedly agree with you 100%! Blogging is the best therapy, and who cares if there is a mountain of laundry waiting for us!

  17. You said it best! I have had people say the same thing to me..."HOW DO YOU HAVE TIME TO BLOG?" They just don't understand all blogging has to offer. Great post and I'll be looking forward to next Thursday.

  18. MITI!!! I can not believe your post for today. I have been sitting here for the last hour writing a post for tomorrow, about how and why I became a blogger.

I was getting ready to shut down and get the baby from her nap and I clicked on my dashboard to see what is going on in blogland today.

What do I read but your post. Do we have ESP? (No, I do not believe in ESP but it is odd, don't you think?)

Alas, yours is finished and I need to get my baby perhaps tomorrow or the next day you can click right over and check it out...if I get time to finish.

Thanks, for ranting and making the rest of us feel a little more like the norm. :)

  19. Thanks for sharing. I blog for the same reason. I have been homeschooling for 9 years now & I get a little crazy some days. I find writing helps. I don't seem to have many folks reading my stuff.Just a few close friends (bless them). I've got to figure out how this blog thing works so I can get more readers. I like the interaction. (Friend of Nan's...Nannette)

  20. Amen sister!
I am with time to blog, but it's GREAT therepy lol.

  21. Love your blog debut! Wonderful...I often wonder where the time goes but even at 12 I find myself up reading blogs...funny how addictive these things get :)

  22. You silly girl...but you hit the nail right on the head! I am looking at my clock right now and it says 1:35 and here I sit commenting cuz this was the only time I could do it! I am loving this 5 moms and a blog...totally cracking me up!

  23. LOL! Thank you for sharing about blogging. I sometimes wonder how I can manage to get the housework done - I have to blog. Oh, I mean manage to blog. Teehee!

  24. i so agree...blogging fills a void. When I truly am to busy to blog, I sorely miss connecting with you awesome women.

I have made more connections and have been so fulfilled over the past 4 months. And I know, I am just a blogging ROOKIE!

    Loved this post ")

  25. I definitely agree with you!! Blogging is great therapy! And, I definitely have to make time for it. (I need to be better about it.) I have meet some wonderful women online who have been a great blessing to me! Blogging is such a terrific medium in which to connect with others. I can't wait to read more about you!

  26. I'm with you on the the therapy thing. It's amazing to meet so many great people in one small space... right at my computer.

I think it would have been great to ask your commenters why or how they started blogging at the end of this particular post. Of course, you would get "short novels" as answers most likely. Still a cool idea though.

  27. Miti,

Thanks for the mention! What a Saturday treat...just when I needed a pick me up! I finally got around to finishing my post on Why I Blog. You can hop over and check out "I May Be Hooked." Have a great sunshine filled weekend.

We love your comments! Please keep it nice and sweet and family friendly so we don't have to delete!
