Do you have it? I know I do!
You don't know what it is? Oh boy, then let me try to explain!!!
Do you ever find yourselves getting to know people, like me, via comment boxes? Okay, so it may start off by visiting their blog itself, but then you leave just one little comment. Later that day, you'll get a new comment from them back on YOUR blog. But somewhere in their comment there's a question or a funny ----and you feel the need to respond or reply?!
Oh you know you've done it, too!
Sometimes someone asks a question via comment and how else do you respond but to hop on over to their blog and leave them a comment. Before you know it, you're in a comment conversation! This past week I found myeself doing that very thing with Vanessa. I think she found me first, and then I hopped over to visit her. She hopped back, and before we knew it, we were in a full-fledge conversation via comment boxes. Now we didn't go to the same post each time, but worked our way down through various older posts.
Now this is truly not abnormal for me. It's how I've made many a bloggin' friend! It's how I met the "other four moms" on here, along with Tiffany, Sara, Carrie, Aileigh, and the list goes on and on. The only PROBLEM with these type of conversations would be that as my readers scroll through my comments, there's suddenly these totally random comments that really make no sense to THEM whatsoever?! They would probably think "What the heck is THAT about????" But I'm hoping that if you're leaving a comment, and see one of 'those' comments you just think, "Oh there goes Erica in one of her comment conversations again," and move on.
Now how many of you are SO addicted, so nosey, and so obsessed that you then feel the need to jump back and forth and try to piece these weird conversations together and make sense of them all? Oh... you don't? Well, then good....cuz I...uh... would never do that either. NEVER!
(((Yes, I can deny it! Afterall, this is Monday--- and I always play "NOT ME MONDAY!" with MckMama over on my blog. I can't help it it overflows slightly over to this blog, too!)))
So anyway! Take care, Happy Monday, and feel free to Converse via Comment anytime. I have C.C.D. and I can admit it!! And as you know, admittance is the first step to recovery! {wink}
"Hi. My name is Erica and I have C.C.D."

I have it too Erica! I'm even worse ... I usually respond to every comment my friends leave me when their email addresses are attached. The comments come straight to my email and if it isn't a "no-reply" address, then I thank them. :o) I really cover all bases. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Memorial Day!
Beth
I want it, seeing as you usually ask a funny question when you comment, so now I know what I am supposed to do. So...here goes... That "monster" hatching in my house is a Dollar Tree hatching egg. I will have to put another picture, he is even scarier than before. If he comes to life I would just DIE!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! Thanks for the laugh!
ReplyDeleteFinally, I have been diagnosed! =)
ReplyDeleteI only have that when they have an email address attached because I get all my comments sent to my email so I just click respond and type away. I love that. Beth is telling the truth. She always comments back to me. I love her for that:)
ReplyDeleteAaahhhh! So that's what it's called....
ReplyDeleteAh, thank you Dr. Erica...I'm so glad I know the technical term for my disorder! Is there anything you can do about it? No? well then, let the conversing continue! LOL! you are so funny! I'm so glad others share this same problem, or it would be pretty boring commenting to myself!
ReplyDeleteOh, I have Never tried to piece a conversation that has nothing to do with me together! Nope...
ReplyDeleteApparently, I have CCD, OCD and many other CD's that just don't have the first letter associated with it!
You've diagnosed us! Now I can add CCD to my list of other ailments!
ReplyDeleteAnd THANK YOU for the shout out and linkage! You rock!
ReplyDeleteAre you still pulling sand out of your shorts from your weekend adventures?
I love meeting new friends from the comment boxes!
ReplyDeleteLOVE it. except i usually try to reply if they have an email attached to their comments. except YOU do not. so i am left no other option but to go to your blog. BUT since you emailed me the other day i do have your addy now. i'm more apt to do that i guess. and i'd never ever comment stalk anyone. :0)
ReplyDeleteLOL...Hi there! I wanted to stop by and say hello, hello! I can relate to your post. I will admit I have found myself feeling a bit curious before...LOL, and I love meeting new people from the comment boxes. Happy to have "met" you!
ReplyDeleteNope. I don't have that, but it sure does sound like a lot of fun!!! Happy Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteI love to reply/hop on over to other blogs and see what they are all about too. I LOVE comments and think it may be a tad "addicting" too. LOVE your blog and this one too :)
ReplyDelete~Elyse
I have read comments (and made some) that have absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the blog, just like you said. Because it's commenting back and forth on each other's blogs.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the comments you read from strangers are downright intriguing, lol! And it does make you wonder what the rest of the conversation was about.....
LOL..I think I've done that once or twice before!!
ReplyDeleteBut, if someone leaves me a comment, I keep up by replying to their email, and/or visiting their blog!
Hee hee I love it. My blog is new but I hope to meet lots of people. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Erica, it's me Erica! Just dropping by to say, "Hello!"
ReplyDeleteOh, did y'all know I also have multiple personalities? Well, if two counts as multiple... which is does. Both personalities are named "Erica" too, which makes life so much simpler!!!
Its so nice to finally put a name to my condition....although I am very hooked on emailing my commenters (when their email is enabled)
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteIt was nice of you to leave a comment for me on my blog, Thanks!
I am a friend of Nan's.
I just took a quick look at your personal blog...very interesting! It looks like you have a wonderful family. I am impressed with your lovely photos, too. I want to read about your camping adventure when I get a chance. My family and I also going camping this coming weekend. The children love it!
Hope
I love talking back and forth with comments!
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to do this a little bit, especially with Nan. It is kinda crazy. My question is...what is CCD? I'm new here and I'm not getting it. Signed, duh.(JK) Nannette
ReplyDeletehaha, I do that all the time! Happy Memorial Day!
ReplyDeleteI guess "duh" was appropriate after all. The title explained it. Smack me on the forehead! Okay adventurous one, I am anxiously awaiting the next adventure because I don't do adventure so I'll live vicariously through your posts. LOL!
ReplyDeleteNannette
So...that's what you call it. I've been experiencing symptoms of CCD for some time now. They come and they go. I have my good days and I have my VERY BAD days. Sometimes I come across an A & B conversation comment and I try to C my way into it. Dr. Erica, is there a cure for this common comment craze?
ReplyDeleteYup, I'm one of the nosy ones. It's the Nancy Drew in me.
ReplyDeleteYou so crack me up!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Too funny! So is there a group for that?
ReplyDeleteI love this post, and I think that bloggers like your are the most fun!
ReplyDeleteI keep trying to get over to your lovely Scottsville blog and really admire it properly, but I am repeatedly interrupted by my loveable family. I added your site to my blog list so now it is easier to hop over there.
Be seeing you!
Hope
HA! I guess I got it, too.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been getting the updates to this blog
:( Sorry it took me so long to notice the new post. Thanks for the little shout out to me! That was fun to read about myself.
Ok, I got your message, I really am sorry it took me sooooooooo long. But, I think I've made up for it. Take a look at my post for today. & you have a great weekend too!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool, its amazing how close a friendship you can form through blogging alone. Its really a wonderful thing. Vanessa is one of my very best friends IRL and she is just a fabulous person. I'm lucky I to get to spend so much time with her :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should start a self help group to treat this??? It's like anything else...just when you start having fun...you find out it is a sickness and you have to go and get cured...About that time I found out I loved truffles, my metablolism slowed down and I found out I have diabetes. Now instead of the truffles all I get to do is diet and exercise...Even if I eat the truffles I feel guilty about it so much for really enjoying the chocolate. In which case I am guessing there is some blogging disorder that I have caught??
ReplyDeleteI guess I have it too. I am glad there is a name for it now!! lol!
