When's the last time YOU saw a rabbit?

So I have this theory...

But it's more than just a theory...

Next time someone you know has the hiccups, I want you to try something. Let the hiccups go on for a few moments so you know they're a REAL GOOD CASE.

Ask them "When's the last time you saw a rabbit?" They'll look at you like you're crazy. Keep talking til you get them to tell you whenever the LAST time was that they actually saw a real, live rabbit. Then ask them a few specifics about it. Try "What color was it?" "What was it doing?"

After about three questions, the hiccups are usually gone. But it could take up to five.

Anyway.... you should try it!

You just might be surprised. I've been using this method for 16 years, and I'd say its worked in all but maybe 3 cases EVER! Those are pretty good odds, don't ya think?

If it works for you, be sure to come back and tell us about it, okay?

So....when's the last time YOU saw a rabbit?

  1. That's easy enough, I'll have to try it next time. Hadn't heard about this one before so I'd like to share it on my Friday "Thins I Learned This Week" post at with a link back here.

  2. Ha. That is absolutely crazy, but I'll try to remember to try it on my child. :o)

I saw a rabbit in the mountains a few weeks ago. It was brown and really fuzzy due to the cold. :o)

  3. Interesting...I will have to try it on an innocent soul this week ;) Happy Monday!

  4. Wait, I don't have the hiccups but for some reason I have the urge to eat a carrot! What are you doing to me over here. LOL!
I will definitely try that my friend. My son gets hiccups more than anyone.

  5. Does it work in other situations? Like stopping an argument or distracting someone? lol

  6. I am so trying it on my husband, because his are so loud and obnoxious i can't even think when they start. LOL

  7. That is an interesting theory for sure! I will have to try it because when receiver gets the hic cups he is always like "MOM- Say Bless Me"! LOL

  8. Interesting theory...
Hope you are having a great day/week.
    Hugs, andrea

  9. Well I wish I would have known that 2 days ago when I had the hiccups that would not go away. :o)

Hope all is going well. :o)

  10. I get the hiccups all the time, I'm going to get someone to try it on me!! :D

  11. You are too funny!!!

But don't think I won't try it when the time comes!

    Miss you around bloggy world...

  12. This is truly interesting and something I have to try, but what if I am the one with the hiccups, I don't think it would work well for me right?

I've tried just about everything else, holding my breath, sugar on a spoon and drinking while hoping not to hiccup anyways. It certainly is worth a try.

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat

  13. Cute idea! I have tried drinking out of the opposite side of a glass before. Also tried holding my breath and swallowing three times. One mom swears by telling her kids to hiccup in her hands three times, lol!

  14. So according to your theory: thinking warm and fuzzy thoughts works better than scaring the pants off somebody (which doesn't work)? I like it!

  15. I'll have to try it for sure! Thanks for the tips!!

  16. I'm gonna try this! People already think I'm crazy, so they'll think that question is just part of the norm for me! lol

    Thanks for the idea!

  17. well i see a rabbit multiple times a day cause we have a pet bunny in our laundry room. she was moved inside cause im a softy and dont think it is warm enough for her outside.she is SO spoiled. i feed her carrots, banana's celery and lettuce on a daily basis. every time i change the laundry around i see our bunbun as my 2 yr old calls her.Her name is Lucee.

  18. LOL! Interesting. I'll have to try that. Also a spoonful of peanut butter works, too. :D
