I Got Bit by Some Kind of Bug

Today, I got bit by some kind of bug. It didn't make me sick. Oh, contraire! It put a little skip in my step. All it took was finding a little message on my Facebook. It was from an old high school friend and the message was as simple as her paying me a sweet compliment about my sisters and I. I won't mention any details. All I will say is that it made me feel good and it gave me a little boost throughout the day.

Isn't it funny how someone's kind gesture can turn your day around? Even doing something kind for someone else can lift you up. It's like that Liberty Mutual commercial. It just amazes me how kindness can spread like a wild fire. It's very contagious and I hope we all get bit by this kind of bug today, tomorrow, and always.

With Love & Kindness,

  1. Glad you got an extra skip in your step...I am going to be skipping through a winter wonderland, again. We are expecting "lots" more snow, tomorrow.

  3. Oh that is just sweet. I know exactly what you mean. I got a card today in the mail from a dear friend and it was sooo sweet! I just love it when they are thinking of you and give you scriptures to lift you up...awesome!!!

  4. Isn't that the best when someone says something that boosts you up. So much better than the normal tearing down or negativity this world can often bring. May we always be the bright side to lead people to the light.

  10. Lucky you! I once had a friend that ALWAYS paid me some small compliment every time she saw me. Made me rethink what a small thing that is to do, and yet a huge thing for those receiving the compliment. Something so easy for us to turn into a habit! I now shower other people with praise every time I see or find out something about them that makes me smile or I think is neat or pretty! So easy to find these things, too!
