Well, Hidey-Hoe Neighbors!!!!

What's new and exciting out in Blogland?

I'm happy, healthy, and for the most part, things are good. I am HAPPY! That feels GOOD to say!

My job is going great!

My boss is wonderful!

I'm dating and happy!

HOWEVER, I did come home this past Thursday to find out that we'd been robbed. Someone had been in my house... and taken both of the boys new laptops. Cam had been saving for MONTHS AND MONTHS for his. He didn't get "gifts" for Christmas, but got "money" so he could finally get his laptop. So both boys had gone to "after-Christmas sales" and bought their laptops... and here we are four months later and they're gone. =0(

But nobody was hurt, nothing was damaged, my camera (which serves as income for me) was not taken, and laptops are just "things". I'm thankful that my kids aren't seeming fearful in our home even knowing that someone was HERE... inside our house. I'm glad that God is our protector and provider.

He is blessing us!

So.... what's new with y'all? Because I am so rarely online, I'd like for all of you friends to give me a STATUS UPDATE via the comment box! Fill me in! Tell me your latest updates, tell me what I've missed, and make me feel "caught up" again, please!!!

{{Hugs}} to everyone!

Erica

  1. That's a shame you were robbed. I hate that these things happen. I've been stolen from too, but nothing as expensive as laptops! Looking forward to heaven when we won't have anymore of this type thing to deal with ever!

We're back to dog training classes with Abby, our wonderful dog we found on Petfinder. She's such a good dog and very smart too!

  2. Oh Erica...I hope the insurance will cover it. That is terrible.
    Glad everyone is ok.
We are slammed with extra activities around here. I am needed to be in more than one place at a time which is becoming more difficult with age. Cause you know when I was younger I could divide and conquer. LOL
That's about it. Stunt Man fell on his mouth knocked 4 teeth loose and had 3 stitches. That was good times. :)

  3. Except for the robbery, (that stinks big time) it's good to hear that you are well. Dating?! Do tell! :o)

We're filling our free time with Geocaching and anxiously waiting the end of school. We're all healthy here and the weather can't decide between warm and cold.

  5. Oh no, I am so sorry about the laptops and dealing with this whole ordeal... I am sure it is awful, but it is good to hear you be so positive about it.

Not much going on here.. need to blog more! Our 5 year anniversary just recently passed and we got a babysitter for my 2 year old daughter for the first time.. My parents watched her. She did great and we had fun being able to go out and eat and shop by ourselves.. lol

  6. That is seriously to bad and so sad for your boys! Makes me just a tad bit angry too...OK...a lot of bit angry. ;-)

What's going on in my corner of the world...not a whole lot...Missy aka Kinize broke her arm a few weeks ago, can't wait for school to be done, but we are just plugging along..day by day.

  7. Erica, I am so very sorry that happened to you guys. Thank God you weren't home and are all OK. Our home got broken into in January and it left me feeling awful. We were blessed in that we weren't home either and our insurance covered a lot of the costs. You're in my prayers.

  9. Erica,

Here is hoping that your homeowners or renters insurance will replace the lap tops at a fraction of the original cost. How sad that things like this has to happen.

Not much happening here, prom is coming in two weeks and then state testing here for both kids so it's study, study, study.

  10. I just think it's so mean that someone stole their laptops! How rude!!!!

We're keeping busy as usual. My mom had pneumonia but she is fine now, PTL! We've both managed to stay healthy so far!

  11. I hate that about the laptops, but am glad they didn't steal more. Very excited about the dating part!

I am great over here. This is such a great season in the Lord. All is well.

  12. Hey Erica. I was hoping you'd say they caught those thieves but thankfully they didn't take more and no one got physically hurt.

I miss hearing from you, but it's so good hearing that you're HAPPY!!! I knew God had better plans for you.

As for me, things are really busy around here. Mason has started T-ball so I'm taking him to that 2 times a week. I've been going to the gym for Zumba. That's my "ME" time. They have a daycare, which I LOVE!!! Then there's a whole bunch of cakes coming up. One's a wedding cake, another one is Mason's birthday cake (both for the same weekend), and then another birthday cake after those. Oh, and of course there's a little project called construction too. Our basement is almost finished! It's finally starting to look like something and not just a hole in the ground. We're so excited! That's my status for now.
