Why do those As Seen On TV commercials always peak our interest?
It never fails...
Someone in my family is always asking for something crazy they have seen on a commercial.
Check out my families recent wishes.
Stunt Man would love the Touch & Brush toothpaste dispenser. Every time that commercial
comes on he comes running. He even told me on Wednesday & I quote..."Mom, your bathroom won't be a mess...if we get one"
If only it was that easy to keep the bathroom clean.
Agent wants the clapper because we don't have a bedside lamp. Really...I want it too because my side of the bed is closer to the light switch so guess who always has to shut the light off & get out of the warm bed?
Actress wants the BUMP IT. Really? She is 9 why does she need high hair with bumps in it? It is all we can do some mornings to get it in a ponytail, let alone a stylish bumpy ponytail.
Model wants the ever popular snuggie...she is always soooooo cold. She is one practical kid.
Angel might even want one too for our cold winters here in Michigan. Who knew snuggies for doggies?
I have to admit...I was lured in by the Twin Draft Guard...They did not keep out one draft and would not stay on my door, but the inserts were great for foam swords, so it wasn't a totally loss.
Have you tried anything from those As Seen On TV commercials?
Are there any you are dying to try?
Any that you just adore?

Oh my gosh..I keep seeing those snuggie things on peoples blogs! I wonder if that works!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I haven't seen an infomercial in a long time. It's good I don't because I'm those people that can't call fast enough!
That's funny my friend. My kids want the toothpaste dispenser too.
ReplyDeleteI have bought the hands free can opener and love it.
Hugs
Kim
I bought the draft guards too! They did not work!!! Kept falling off. That snuggie for the dog is crazy...lol!
ReplyDeleteHello, I am an infomercial LOVER!!! I can't tell you how many things we have had over the years that are informercials. I even have a Kirby that is an infomercial in your home. I SWORE I wouldn't buy one!!! (1)I want the touch and brush, and my 4 year old calls me into the room everytime it comes on and tells me "it is only 19.99!" (2)As for the clapper, we race to see who is last in bed, so they can turn off the lights. Try that, maybe you will not have to get that one. (3)The Bumpit does work, I have seen the secretary at work and her daughter wear them several times.(4) Snuggies, who doesn't want one of those, except my dog!!! (5) I have never had any desire for the Twin Draft Gaurd, so just know your family is NOT alone!!!!
ReplyDeleteMan, My Hannah (5) also wants that toothpaste dispenser. I am going to buy her one if I can find it around here.
ReplyDeleteI also really really want the twin draft guard. I have for like 3 years. I have not seen them in the *As Seen On TV* isles. I am gonna snatch one if I ever buy one if I ever see it.
Hannah got the Bendaroos for her birthday. She got - not 1 but 2 sets of the things. And I am here to tell you not to waste your money. I throw some away every time she leaves the laying around. eww.. they do not work and they love dog hair.
Cool post today~~
You'll love this...the toothpaste dispenser is on Shea's "Birthday List", ALL the kids want snuggies, they even have Tn. ones in the stores here. And Shea and Colin want the snuggies for ALL the dogs...yes all 4 of them. Could you see our house if all these kids and dogs were piled up watching TV in snuggies!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! My kids want all of those...Alex actually got a Clapper last year for Christmas, two of them! One with a remote! haha! They also want Snuggies, but I just don't know if I can do it...we'll see, LOL! Oh, and don't forget the Chia Pet! Emily wants the cat this year! ...sigh... Dan and I just laugh at how old those commercials are and still going strong! Love it!
ReplyDeleteha ha ha... to funnY ARE YOUR KIDS! I can vouch... I own the bump it, and I love it. On my blog from the other night I posted my hubs Christmas Party we went to, and I am wearing the bumpit in front of the large tree with the hubs next to me. You can't tell real well in teh pic. but it totally worked and I love it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am always looking at those things on TV too...thinking I need them all! lol...The only thing I've ever purchased from TV or an infomercial was the Winsor Pilates DVDs, and they were definitely worth it. I need to get back to using them, but I do love them!
ReplyDeleteI'm always tempted by the SHAM WOW! but I still haven't bought one.
ReplyDeleteThere's always Santa!
Now I would have thought the twin draft guard would have worked! That stinks that it didn't.
ReplyDeleteWas the George Foreman grill ever sold on an infomercial? I have that but I got it in a store. Other than that, I've not been lured in.
i confessed! tho i havent buy anything from any of TV ads yet (good thing heheh) i am also fascinated with some products.. but im more into vanity products though hahah like those of magic creams for removing scars, those products to keep you fit and such..
ReplyDeletebut im interested on that toothpaste dispenser hmmm thanks for sharing Mimi! :)
I keep thinking I want one of the Snuggies. I may have to ask for that for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI have seen all of these.....I think the bumpit would be kind of cool.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't, but my mom has bought me a couple things. The latest was some grill - GTX something something. She bought like 6 of them! And I haven't used mine yet. Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteOh, Cameron LOVES infomercials. He wants that folding do-it-all ladder thingy!
ReplyDeleteI own a Snuggie and I love it! Don't believe me? Look here!
I wanna snuggie, too!! Love your family's wish list!
ReplyDeleteNope no TV here so no one gets the I wants.. at least from the TV anyway....LOL
ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth... I do not want a snuggie. :) But the clapper looks really neat!
ReplyDelete~Kathleeen
Ha! My girls are so funny because they will come and tell me word for word the benefits of certain products they see on TV. It's so funny! Even Lily wants the toothpaste one, but all the toothpaste they like doesn't come in standard tubes, so it wouldn't work anyways. And they all want snuggies too :D I want that giant cupcake pan! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I want that toothpaste holder for the boys bathroom!! I could modge podge it and make it cute and functional!
ReplyDeleteI'm all for staying cozy too!
I'm pretty sure we picked up something once, but I can't remember what it was. The neat thing is that we live near Pigeon Forge and they have a couple of those stores there. That's right - it's a "As Seen On TV" store and they sell all those neat, you're-life-will-be-better-if-you-have-this things.
ReplyDeleteThe Bump It is HILARIOUS! I love the commercials! We laugh every time they come on! You know they sell a lot of that stuff at Target and Walmart...I almost bought the Bump It just to be funny!
ReplyDeleteThose As Seen On TV are so intriguing but I don't think I have ever purchased anything. I just might be missing out on something here.
ReplyDeleteBump-Its are a waste of money....I admit, I bought them.....I wanted a stylish bumped-up pony tail....all I got was a cone head ponytail with a piece of plastic showing through my hair!
ReplyDeleteI bought the Twin Draft thing for my basement door, so far it has worked for me but I havent really checked to see if it is keeping the cold down there and not in the kitchen....maybe Ill go check it now.
Funny you should mention a Snuggie because I just asked Santa for one the other day on my Facebook! Lol. I have wanted one of those since they came out! Ive actually bought one as a gag gift for Christmas but Im thinking about keeping it for myself..... :-)! Gotta Love As Seen on TV things!
YES! I actually did buy something this summer - one of those things that you pull your bra straps into it above the band in back so you can still wear a bra with a sleeveless shirt but your straps don't show. Yay! It was for my teen daughters - nobody wants to see these arms! And I have the dog Snuggie website bookmarked so I can order that for them for Christmas. Oh, I guess I better do that. Have a great weekend - off to check out your blog ~ ♥
ReplyDeleteFunny. I am sucked into all those infomercials all of the time. I own an InStyler and it really works. I want a Bump It. I did want a Twin Draft Guard until you said that it doesn't work. Those infomercial people really know how to work their stuff:-)
ReplyDeleteI totally want the magic brownie pan! No, not 'those' magic brownies! It looks really slick and brownies are my husband's favorite, right next to anything peanut butter, that is!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried anything from those As Seen On TV commercials? .....I just bought the Wen hair care from Chaz Dean......does that count? (I LOVE IT by the way)
ReplyDeleteAre there any you are dying to try? .....I want a snuggie!!!
Any that you just adore? The Wen hair care...it's the most amazing thing I've ever used on my hair
Do share...
I think you are forgetting about my ALL TIME FAVORITE...CHA Cha CHA CHIA.....Sponge Bob Square pants edition.....Who wouldn't want that along with the clapper....Those are great!~!!!
ReplyDeletePS..I have the BUMP IT...Actress can have them!!!
JUNK.
Ah yes- the infomercials! I love 'em! We have Shamwows, Snuggies, and i just got the new cupcake one for my birthday from Jakob. You know that HUGE cupcake cake pan...I am now the proud owner. I love that Walgreens and Walmart sell all these items 'cause I am a sucker for them!
ReplyDeleteI have bought the hands free can opener and love it.
ReplyDeleteWork From Home India
I wouldn't buy that toothpaste thing.....ewwwww! Can you imagine all the germs? Yuck.
ReplyDeleteI did give in a buy a Flip & Fold and a Bullet (both immortalized on my blog, lol!). However, I'd love a Bump It!!!! Hehehehe!
I have the strap perfect (or whatever they're called) that pulls the bra straps in and it's actually pretty effective. Have you ever been in an "As Seen on TV" store? They're FABULOUS!!! :) haha!
ReplyDeleteIt is so amazing to me how captivating that infomericals can be! When I am sitting there watching them, I can always think of a million reasons why whatever they are trying to market to me is absolutely necessary for me to have and if I did not have a vow to never buy anything from an infomerical, EVER! I would probably be broke. LOL
ReplyDeleteDon't laugh at me but I but my dog a Snuggie at Target on Black Friday- she loves it LOL
ReplyDeleteMy kids want the touch and brush really bad!
ReplyDeleteI want the draft door thingy. And I saw kids Snuggies at Kohl's today.
Wonder if the toothpaste thingy works??
ReplyDeleteI am too cheap to actually buy it through the mail, so I wait until I can buy it in the store! The magic bullet was my vice!! And we do use it! lots of fun! Colin loves the snuggie too and wants to get me one for Christmas!! We made fun of the clapper just a few nights ago! lol
ReplyDeleteWell let me try this again (internet cut out when I submitted my comment earlier)
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Billy Mays commercial with the tool band that goes around your arm? It's magnetic and holds nails, screws, hammers, etc. They even show it being so strong that it holds an entire toolbox!!! Yeah! Whatever!
I've never bought As Seen on TV stuff but I did get lured in by QVC and bought a deep fryer. Waste of $89.99!
Have to laugh: stunt man is hilarious. sounds like something my husband does to get something he wants - make it sound like it will benefit me. i think the snuggie would be good because I'm always cold too - and my dog likes to be covered in blankets, so why not one for him! We're not normal, I realize that!
ReplyDeleteI just had to smile at their list of things...
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about getting that toothpaste dispenser! Dreaming of a clean bathroom...lol!
ReplyDeleteToothbrush dispenser looks cool!!!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless~

Too funny...my kids have asked for all of those things. My girl wants a snuggie too (she says our house is always freezing cold) and she wants it to be a leopard print one.
ReplyDeleteall three of my kids want snuggies. At $15 bucks apiece, that's great with me. Got 'em all in the closet waiting for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI got the Ped egg last year as a gag but I kind of like it--it does work:)
Valiant wants the toothpaste thingy. He just begged this morning. As for me, I want that bra-strap thingy.
ReplyDeleteNot sure which one I really want. I had a chopper from PC before they had the Slap Chopper. I loved it! :D
